New email newsletter to start July 1st
Hello everyone! I am going to start publishing a monthly email newsletter. If you are one of the first 25 people to sign up you will receive your choice of one free pack of custom notecards, to be mailed out in October. I am planning on two different sets of designs for the cards: one pack will contain my 2011 seasonal release Christmas cards, the other will be floral/still life designs.
I love the idea of doing an annual holiday painting and this will force me to finish it before September. LOL. The newsletter will contain a new works section, a list of upcoming shows in our area, and perhaps a "spotlight" artist of the month. I am planning on rolling out the first issue July 1st and will notify you by email if you are one of the first 25 to sign up!
If you are interested, click on this link and then click on the "email newsletter" link at the top of the page and fill in your information. It's that easy!

Shrimp and Red Wine - Oil on canvas
Time for a blog update. Here is my most recent completed painting. I worked on this at Frank's studio and love the way it turned out. The colors in the shrimp took a lot of tinkering with but I am thrilled at the way they turned out. This is a painting for my husband's birthday coming up in June. It was a personal request from him that I paint this subject matter. I never would have picked shrimp out to paint. One must paint shrimp quickly. It gets to be quite smelly quite fast!
