Thoughts on Painting

Back to work today. This is the first chance I have since mid-December to blog and I'm excited to share a gift my husband got me for Christmas.  

This is a screen from Electric Objects. My husband read about it in the Wall Street Journal before Christmas and liked the review. It was my big gift this year, and I love it! It is a screen that adjusts for the lighting in the room, so if it is very bright or the light is very low it adjusts so that the picture consistency looks like a painting with almost zero glare.

He also bought me a one year subscription, which allows me access to paintings in some of the greatest museums around the World. I can set it to one painting, or have a timer set where the paintings change. I can also upload my own art, or pictures, to scroll through. It also has some interesting moving pictures (like Earth from above and some abstracts) which cause a little motion sickness but are pretty nifty. I'm sure some of you are saying, I can do this with my computer screen, but I think the thing that differentiates this is the adjusting of the light for the surrounding conditions. I have not figured out yet how to change it to landscape position, but will play around with it more as time allows.
